This month was our second Copywriter Round Table
Here are the highlights:
Sometimes clients clients to choose to DIY. The web designers in the room pay for that in the end result of the site, or extra hours spent fixing copy. And the copywriters of the room pay for that choice on their portfolio.
We spent a good bit of time talking about the pros and cons of templates. Copy templates for clients who DIY β but is it the cart before the horse? Maybe but a tool to help shape inexperienced writers is better than nothing.
Can you even possibly build a site with no copy? Lorem ipsum is a thing. But the general consensus was that there still has to be a site map and a goal for each section even if there's fake copy.
We all agreed that professional photography and professional copy MAKE a website.
And there was talk of a new trendy Pinterest alternative in town β
