Do you know someone who can't make a decision to save their life?

It is very common for ADHDers to suffer from a very crippling condition called “Decision Paralysis”.

Decision Paralysis is when an individual overanalyzes or overthinks a situation.  This causes decision-making to become "paralyzed".

Decision Paralysis leaves a person feeling overwhelmed and helpless and that can cause anxiety and depression.

How Can We Show Support?

* Stay calm while they are trying to make a decision. Added pressure from others can send someone experiencing decision paralysis into a tailspin that is really hard to recover from.

* Ask what they need?  Don't try to fix the situation. If they don't know what they need, giving them space to calm their mind is usually a safe option.

* Be chill.  They probably feel embarrassed, so don't make a big deal about it.

* Just be there.  Show patience, kindness and love.

The ADHDer in your life appreciates you taking the time to understand them.
XOXO,
Amanda
