Having just completed my first round of career coaching (very successful, would recommend), I’ve realised I need to make room in my life and tbr pile for self-development.
Not in a Men-Are-From-Mars-Women-Are-From-Venus way, but definitely in a keep-expanding-your-mind-and-pushing-your-thinking way. I used to think of self-development as a box I needed to tick every six months (or not at all) but post-career coaching I see it as an ‘always on’ investment.
Big caveat! I try not to pressure myself into it or think of it as a ‘have-to’ for my career, but more like a ‘nice to have’ I want to make time for.
