It's not everyday that you get to share space with your idols… or maybe it happens more often than we realize and we take for granted all of the giants that walk among us? I know, it's too early to get this deep…but I must introduce you to a giant in my world – an inspiration both musically and spiritually (is there any difference?).. the absurdly talented, REGOTHERESHEGO.

A Background on Today's Mood.
I always surprise myself with how both meaning and interpretation of art can change when approached from a different mindset or perspective. When I first stumbled upon Rego back in 2019, “Pray For You” initially hit me as song that represented the moving on or letting go of a toxic relationship. For some reason the hook just screamed “Goodbye and goodluck” …This time around, it rang vastly different.
As I sit here, 5 years later, digging deeper into the lyrics…they now echo as invocations – or cries of protection for her friends and fellow artists who work tirelessly to make it in an unforgiving industry – all while battling demons of their own. Instead of “goodluck”, it's now “I love you” and “I pray that we get everything we've ever dreamt about.” Being an artist is a blessing and a curse, but I think we'd all agree that the curse never outweighs the blessing. As difficult as it may be…we love it here.
A GIFT FROM ME TO YOU.
God…whenever I listen to Rego – It's like having my own personal pressure relief valve, made of music. Rego's soul-stirring vocals act as an electric current of some sort, leading to an energy exertion that one can only typically find after running a full-court basketball game…or a 5k. Either way – I am indebted to the solace it brings me. A journey through pain, with undeniable happiness on the other-side… simply from feeling so deeply understood.

In-Person w/ Rego: After years of connecting through instagram DM and zoom meetings, I finally had the luxury of catching up with Rego in Austin, TX at this years SXSW music festival for a specialty MAJORMOOD Street interview. Although we had developed a really strong E-friendship – meeting Rego in person truly solidified everything I had ever thought about this amazing soul.
