Happy Saturday, everyone! And surprise! It's snowing. All week long (since last Sunday when we left Denver) it's been in the 60s and 70s and they anticipated it raining this weekend with a chance of snow. But it's legit snowing. Big, fat, fluffy, wet flakes that stick to your windshield. Not a mild dusting as we approach May.
At to the snow this week with the diagnosis of pneumonia for Lex on Thursday and it has once more been a week! Fortunately for Lex, she's been sent home on oxygen, with antibiotics, steroids, and an inhaler as needed. Some of you may remember that Lex and her twin sister, Ro. were 24 week preemies and Lex weighed less than a pound at birth.
She's a fighter—without being one, I'm not sure she'd have survived her 132 day NICU stay—and I try to remind myself that her sassy personality is part of her fighting spirit.
I also hate when she gets sick. Fingers crossed she gets better fast!
