Week 1 of the Briar Point QAL

Dear First name / friend, here we go!

Welcome to Week 1 of the Briar Point Quilt Along. Read on for all the info you need.

Now for the fun stuff!

We are in Week 1. This week we are selecting and cutting our fabric. You can use any fabric in any combination you'd like - this is your quilt and I want you to love it!

To win you must:

If you post and I don't respond within 24 hours, please DM me. I don't want to miss a thing! Feel free to post more than once if you'd like. I love seeing what you all do.

One important note: Make sure you have your posts done before 8pm CST on Tuesday, May 7th in order to be entered in the drawing for the prize. I will contact the winner directly on Instagram or Facebook through a direct message. This will come from DueNorthHandmade and no other account.

A few other odds and ends:

There is no live session this week but in weeks 2, 3 and 5 there will be a live session on Zoom on Fridays at 1pm cst. These are completely optional but in them I will show you tips and tricks related to that weeks tasks. It's also a nice way to meet other quilters. If you cannot make them live, I will record them and post them to the main QAL page.

Additionally, all quilt along participants can receive discounted long arming of their Briar Point quilt top from Miss B's Quilting Studio and Nighthawk Quilting. More information on that will be coming in week 4.

These weekly emails will be linked on the main QAL webpage as well so no worries if you need the information later.
