If you’ve pitched to be on my podcast Building your Brand recently, you'll know that I don’t usually have many free slots and quite a lot of people have to wait a while before their episode is released (just because I get carried away booking in people and so record way ahead of schedule!)
Normally I'm super organised with everything to do with my podcast, but yesterday I had a sudden panic because someone this week didn’t show up to their podcast recording, and so I don’t actually have an episode for my podcast editor Lucy to edit next week!
I was chatting to Hannah about it and she came up with the genius idea of me offering the slot to all of you!
Here is the deal - I want to record the episode on Tuesday 7th May at 2pm BST (the recording will take about an hour) and I’m giving you the opportunity to pitch for that slot and I will pick my favourite pitch.
Reply to this email with your pitch and make sure it gets to me by 10pm BST on Saturday and then I will email and let you know by Monday if I chose your pitch, and then we will record on the Tuesday.
And if you don’t get chosen, I still might get in touch for a future episode if I liked your pitch and think it would be a good fit for the podcast.
Here are some quick tips for pitching.
- Let me know a couple of topic ideas that you think we could chat about. Have a look through the topics I've covered recently and try and come at your area of expertise with a fresh perspective or new angle that will be different from what I might have covered before.
- Include links to your social media and other places I can see/hear you speaking (it could be an instagram reel, a podcast episode, a you tube video). Still pitch if you don’t have any previous examples though, that isn’t a deal breaker.
