Isobel, I know there are copywriting strategies that encourage readers to buy…can you give me an easy example that I can do myself?
You bet! Let’s look at one strategy I *know* you’ve seen before: Compare/Contrast.
 
What it is:
Compare/Contrast is a killer sales tool that’s easy to incorporate into your messaging or marketing in a few different ways. Essentially, it’s all about putting two or more scenarios near each other to highlight their differences and similarities. 
 
Why it works:
Laying out differences helps your audience make informed decisions easily (no more switching between different tabs!). But there’s more to it than that. 
 
By comparing two different services or scenarios, the option that looks a little bit better will suddenly look a WHOLE lot better. 
 
Let’s see it in action:
 
Example 1: Before/After Testimonial Storytelling
Use a client’s success story to paint a picture of the transformation you gave them. For example…
 
Before working together, Kristin wasted countless hours writing and rewriting web copy for her surf therapy business. She couldn’t figure out how to turn all the neuroscience info into inviting (and exciting) messaging. 
 
But after handing it over to me? Kristin focused on building her surf therapy retreat *and* came out with engaging web copy that helped her sell out her new retreat in less than 48 hours!
 
Example 2: Service Features Comparison
Create a side-by-side comparison of your services. Once your readers see the perks of higher tiers, the value speaks for itself. 
 
Just take a look at how we laid out Kind Nature Creative’s Solopreneur Sprints to show the different ways of working together. 
 
Example 3: You Vs. Others
Tell your audience why you skip some industry standards and what you do instead to show your expertise.
