Mental Health Awareness

“Hello Anxious Me. I see you, I hear you, I feel you”.

Mental Health Awareness is something that we should seek to acknowledge everyday within ourselves when we feel those uncomfortable feelings and emotions trying to get our attention.

Something that has been greatly impacted even more so with  the events of the past 4 years.

Like anything in life, consistency is key for getting results. Being consistent with ourselves and our own self-care. Not getting distracted, or shutting ourselves down.

So, I'm not adverse to having a focus at certain times of the year,  that can act as a little reminder to help us get back on track.

In the US, May is Mental Health Awareness month and the UK, next week, 13th-19th May, is Mental Health Awareness week.

Last year's focus was on anxiety and something that continues to be at an all time high for many.

Anxiety is one of the more uncomfortable spectrums of emotions we experience and when it gets out of control, can cause bigger mental health issues and stop us moving forward in our life.

Aside from life's many challenges and transitions we have to navigate, the past four years has been particularly challenging and has had a huge impact on people's mental health.

Whether you're consciously on your spiritual journey and doing the inner work, or just trying to get through the tough times we're in, we are all affected.

And we are all connected.

Whenever you might be struggling, it's important to remember that you're not alone.

Remember you are not your anxiety, try not to get attached to the emotion or feeling. Practice being the observer, allowing yourself to be seen and heard, so it can move through you with compassion and love.

I wanted to share this beautiful feedback I've had from a lady that tried my Soothing Anxiety Meditation on Insight Timer and how it helped to lower her blood pressure..

Dear Paula, I listened to your meditation and I liked it very much for various reasons: first is to realise how important is not to condemn ourselves if we feel anxious but to accept and love oneself. However, the most surprising proof of how good this meditation  was the fact that I decided to measure my blood pressure whilst listening. I usually get anxious when measuring but this time the blood pressure went so low that showed number that I haven’t seen before.  Thank you for sharing.

If you haven't listened to it yet, then you can listen for FREE, by clicking on the link below 👇

In the above meditation, we acknowledge the ‘anxious me’s', but here's a reminder for you to connect with yourself and acknowledge anxious you, or whatever other emotion you might be feeling.

Use the words that are right for you and say them out loud.

“Hello anxious me” or “hello me that feels anxious”

“I'm sorry me, you're feeling anxious”

“I see you, I feel you, I hear you anxious me”

“I've got you anxious me”

“I love you, anxious me”

This year's theme for Mental Health Awareness is Movement: Moving for our Mental Health

Moving the body is a great way to release endorphins, the feel good/happy hormones that lower our stress levels, improve our mood and enhance our overall sense of well-being.

Movement also helps to release stuck and stagnant energy that we're holding in our body and cells.

Whether you get out for a gentle walk in nature, choose a form of exercise you enjoy, or put on your favourite track and dance! There's many enjoyable ways we can move our body.

If you would like to dig deeper at your own pace, then my online program offers a wealth of support to walk you through your inner journey.

Throughout May you can purchase this program for only £222 with the below coupon code:

Coupon Code: MHAWEEK2024

I've been on a bit of a journey with this program since it was first conceived and started as a 3 Month program with weekly calls and 1:1's.

I've put my heart and soul into it, and a whole lot of content! It's been a learning curve for me, as people have needed to go at their own pace depending on where they're at on their journey and what other day to day commitments they have to navigate too.

It was important to me that those taking the course felt fully supported, but self-responsibility is also an important part of our self-empowerment journey.

Cost is also something I've thought long and hard about in these current times and how I can best be of service.

So, I'm now leaving out 1:1sessions and these can be booked as and when people feel they would like extra support.

I'm also going to be putting together one more bundle taken from the program on ‘The Inner Child’ (that I'll be offering later this week).

If you are serious about doing the inner work, then this program will greatly assist you and bring you deeper clarity and awareness around what you've been holding onto from the past and what parts of you need your love and acknowledgment.

It's helped me and I know it can help you too!

It's not for you, if you're after a quick fix or wanting someone else to do it for you (and I say that with love and compassion).

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out. For a full breakdown of the modules, click below 👇
