Elevate Summit Highlights: A New Chapter for Health & Well-being with the Research & Grants Team
Â
What an incredible day at the 100WS Elevate Summit on May 2nd! It was a day full of energy, new ideas, and wonderful people coming together to support our mission. I'm thrilled to share some of the highlights and exciting news from the Research and Grants perspective.
Â
First, we started the summit with our outstanding leaders, Taz Tharoo and Heather Mount. Our outgoing Chair, Taz passed the baton to Heather, our new Chair, and shared their passionate visions for our future. It's clear they're both dedicated to our mission and ready to lead us into another successful year!
Â
One of our most significant moments in Research and Grants was announcing our new three-year Focus Area: Health & Well-being. This is more than just a theme; it's a commitment to dive deep into issues that directly impact women's health and promote well-being in our community. We also outlined our yearly cycle work process, which will guide our efforts to support meaningful projects throughout the year.
Â
On the same day, the panel discussion, "Enabling a Healthier Future," brought to life the importance of our new focus. The panel featured brilliant minds like Dr. Christine Greves, Yasmin Flasterstein, and Kenneth Aldrige, Jr., who shared their insights and sparked much interest and conversation among everyone there. It was a fantastic way to deepen our understanding and show how much of an impact we can make.
Â
It was also great to see our past grantees — Poverty Solutions Group, ELSSA, and Women On The Rise — at their display tables, along with several other nonprofits. They got to share their incredible work and connect with our audience, showing the ongoing ripple effect of our support.
Â
It was an incredible day and we're so thankful for everyone who had a part in it.
