As you may know, my family and I are taking a trip to the United Kingdom, which was something my father-in-law wanted to do. It's funny because he jokingly told my son and husband that we are spending his inheritance now. This got me thinking about the concept of inheritance.
While we often associate it with financial assets, I believe there is more to it. The memories and experiences we create with our loved ones are also part of the inheritance we leave behind. Personally, one of my favorite parts of my inheritance is the Easter basket my mom still makes for me every year. Even though my husband and I don't have children, she goes the extra mile and prepares an Easter egg hunt for our dogs.
It's these gestures of love and support that truly matter. Money can be spent, but the memories we make and the love we share are priceless. As we enter the second half of the year, I encourage you to be mindful of the memories you want to leave as part of your inheritance. Take the time to create meaningful experiences with your loved ones. These moments are irreplaceable and will be cherished long after any financial assets are gone. Wishing you a memorable second half of the year.
In gratitude, April
