GENERAL MEETING UPDATES

MARCH
  • Council resolved to receive the petition presented by Georgetown State School nad consider the proposal in the 2024/25 budget process.
  • Council received the Briefing Reports from Director of Corporate Services, Director of Engineering Services and Chief Executive Officer
  • Council resolved to advise the Department of Resources that Council had no objections to the renewal of the lease for Lot 30 on ET39. 
  • Council resolved to defer the acceptance of tender for the Construction of footpath and kerb/gutter to a future meeting due to caretaker period requirements. 
 
APRIL 
  • Council resolved to accept the quote provided by Cann Concrete Pty Ltd to construct footpath and kerb/gutter along Saint George Sreet, Georgetown to the value of $377,513.40 inc GST. 
  • Council received teh third quarterly progress report on Council's progress toward implementing its 2023/24 Operational Plan. 
  • Council resolved to adopt the reviewed RADF Advisory Committee Terms of Reference
  • Council noted the completion of the review of the ESC - C056 Councillor Remuneration policy and readopted the reviewed version. 
  • Council resolved to accept the 10 year AC water main pipe replacement program. 
  • Council resolved to defer the review and adoption of the ESC - C031 Gates & Grids Policy to a future Council Meeting. 
  • Council resolved to accept the Offer of Issue of Deed for part of Lot 4 on Crown Plan CD35.
  • Council resolved to adopt the Sun Smart Policy
  • Council resolved to accept the quote provided by Robinson Civil Construction for the KDR Pavement Rehabilitation project.

COMMUNITY ASSISTANCE 
Applications now open!
Council wishes to advise that roadworks are expected to commence on the Forsayth to Einasleigh Road. Works will involve drainage works and bitumen sealing. Please obey all road signage and exercise caution as there will be machinery and construction vehicles working in this area. 
GULF DEVELOPMENT & KENNEDY DEVEOPMENT ROADS
Planned Closures
Council wishes to advise that there are planned closures to single lane bridges along both the gulf Development Road and Kennedy Development Road between 7th May and 4th June 2024.

Public Notice
