Hi friends, In this Happenings edition, I'm delighted to share two big updates: Last week I visited a dear sister and Maskoke indigenous leader on her people's indigenous land, Ekvn-Yefolecvlket in Alabama. Tawna invited a handful of women to help bless and build a sacred feminine space on the land. Wow â every single structure is beautiful, built with the most sustainable, regenerative land practices, and entirely built by hand by the less than dozen people who live with her. This is an intentional ecovillage community of Indigenous Maskoke persons who finally returned to steward this land, after 180 years of having been forcibly removed from traditional homelands. Tawna is a living example of the evolved feminine. Not only are they building an intentional community, but they are fighting to preserve their lineage and language. While they are doing incredible work, they still have a long way to go. If you feel called to donate to support her and her people, please donate through Paypal here and note âTawnaâ and we'd love to send 100% of the proceeds as a gift from this community. If youâd like to learn more and offer a more generous gift, please reach out and I can share information. *** On a separate noteâ Iâm so excited to share that Zach published the first few episodes of his podcast. My favorite episodes feature some of our friends and leaders of this cultural movement. These are creatives, leaders, and wisdom keepers you may have never heard of yet, but will thank us for introducing you to⊠the first episode is with an inspiring Hawaiian elder Ramsay Taum who helped facilitate our last retreat. I may be biased, but there are very few people who can tease out such compelling stories out of unique humans⊠so check out Zach's podcast and give it a follow. With love, Elyse |
