Hi friends, I want to start by welcoming the new friends and readers of the Sunday Spark who are joining from my podcast page on YouTube! With your support and enthusiasm, I reached my first 1,000 subscribers on YouTube today. Thank you! I am grateful to share this win with you. I am having a busier-than-usual week, so I decided to make this note short to feel lighter. So, instead, I am sharing with you a post I wrote on my blog a couple of years ago that I think will be helpful to you this new week: |

What Would the Best Version of You Do? I wish I would remember this question right when challenging situations arise in my life, not after them. This question transfers us almost instantly to an elevated state of being. It re-orders consequences and gives us perspective. It shines a spotlight on the ripple effect of a yes, a no, or an outburst. Asking this question brings forth the more powerful, rational, and empowered version of ourselves. We ask that best version or Self with big s to take over. We ask the Self to protect us from falling into the temptations of immaturity, impulsivity, and immediate gratification. We need to remember that we have that Self inside of us at all times. We can call upon it using powerful questions like this one. For good measure, I would add a little prayer, too. |

A snapshot from my week: Enjoyed one the last few magical Saturdays of this season as the school year is coming to an end soon. A magical Saturday is what I call creative Saturdays I spend doing creative work like this newsletter and my podcast content, while my kids are at school. |

Here is your weekly dose of The Sunday Spark ⚡️ a newsletter listing 3 sparks that I thought were worth starting your week with: |
|
1. 🇵🇸 🎙️ I am in awe of the courageous Jordanian doctor and mother, Dr. Asil Jallad, for her noble mission to Gaza to help save pregnant women there and improve the horrific medical conditions they are going through. Listen to part one of her interview with Sada podcast as she shares her story, and stay tuned for the next episodes. I am honored that Dr. Asil was my classmate once upon a time. |

“Let go of the misconception that our motivational state must match the task at hand. In fact, social psychologists have demonstrated that attitudes follow behaviors more than (or at least as much as) behaviors follow attitudes. When you start to act on your intention as intended, you will see your attitude and motivation change.” —Timothy A. Pychyl, Solving the Procrastination Puzzle |

( Readwise helped me find this quote. It is my favorite app to recall favorite passages in books and articles I read and now they have a new product, Reader, which will make you forget about all the other read-it-later apps) |
