Authors are like parents. We birth books.
Each is a child that we send off into the world
in the hope that it will do good deeds.
Perhaps entertain its readers for a few hours.
Better yet, have them sitting at the edge of their seats,
enthralled by what will happen next.
So, why did I cry?
I'll be honest: I put Donna and Jack through
heck, and back again. Their vacation is a nightmare
set upon by unknown terrorists,
forces of nature, and worst of all, distrust.
You say, “Wait…WHAT?”
You heard me.
As with most parables about Paradise,
it starts with forbidden fruit.
In Donna's case, it's unrequited love.
For Jack, it's someone from his past.
As for sex…
Well, yes, it's involved, too. And it's complicated.
Hey, it's not as if the Craigs haven't been here before.
But this time, they have to face some realities:
Do they still trust each other?
Do they still love each other?
If not, why not?
You'll find out.
But first, they have to get out of Paradise.
