Dear First name / Girlfriend,,
It's time to make yourself a priority.
In a world where we often juggle numerous responsibilities, remember the wisdom found in Matthew 22:39: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” This verse reminds us that self-love and self-care are not selfish acts, but rather a way to ensure a fulfilling and joyful life. When we prioritize ourselves, we become better equipped to spread love and positivity to those around us. You know what I always say…You cannot pour from an empty cup. Through these action steps and affirmations you'll have some framework to begin with.
ACTION STEPS
Set Boundaries: Clearly define what is acceptable for you and communicate it to others. No is a complete sentence. You cannot be everything to everyone else and have nothing for yourself sis. Savor some of yourself, for yourself.
Schedule “Me Time”: Dedicate specific time slots in your calendar for activities that bring you joy, whether it’s a hobby, a walk around your neighborhood, or simply relaxing with a good book. Write a list of 5 things that bring you joy that you can incorporate into your daily and weekly routines. Daily activities can include things like exercising, preparing a meal, listening to your favorite podcast, or simply sitting in silence. You'd be surprised at how 15 minutes per day of “me time” can transform your life.
Practice Self-Compassion: Treat yourself with the same kindness and understanding that you would offer a dear friend. Celebrate yourself, no matter how small. This is why I include affirmations in every Sunday Series, how we talk to ourselves matter.
WEEKLY AFFIRMATIONS
Affirmation 1: I am worthy of self-love and self-care.
Affirmation 2: I am deserving of time and care devoted to my well-being.

I know the power of community and shared experiences. I invite you to join me in this journey of making yourself a priority. Let’s support each other, share our wins, and spread positivity. Together, we can inspire one another to live authentically and joyfully. Let another woman's joy inspire you.
NEXT WEEK…
Speaking of community, next week we'll talk about how to make friends as an adult. I know firsthand how difficult that can be and I want to share a few things that have worked for me plus introduce y'all to some amazing women that I've met and befriended in my adult years.
