Hey First name / friend

Summer has arrived and if you’re feeling unusually warm, even when you're indoors, you might be wondering: "Is it just the summer heat, or am I experiencing hot flashes?"

Menopause marks the end of a woman's menstrual cycles and is diagnosed after going 12 months without a period. It typically occurs in your 40s or 50s, with the average age being 51. This is a natural biological process, but it comes with its own set of challenges due to hormonal changes.

During menopause, your body produces less estrogen and progesterone, hormones that regulate the menstrual cycle. These changes can lead to various symptoms, including hot flashes, mood swings, and changes in metabolism. I talk more about what’s going on here if you’d like to listen in…

One of the significant hormonal changes involves cortisol, often known as the stress hormone. When estrogen levels drop, your body may produce more cortisol. Elevated cortisol levels can lead to a number of issues, including increased stress levels, sleep disturbances, and weight gain. So it’s no wonder you may be a little extra crabby with your family these days. With weight gain specifically, it loves to show up around the midsection during menopause due to elevated cortisol and insulin levels. Just what we wanted right?

Weight gain during menopause is frustrating, but know that it’s common.

Here's what’s going on:

The more insulin your body produces ➡️ the more fat you store.
The more fat you store ➡️ the more insulin you need to open up the cells to let the nutrients in.

When they become blocked and blobbed with fat, they lose their viability. This cycle can be tough to break, but you don't need to resort to harmful drugs that some doctors might prescribe. These medications can be toxic and have terrible side effects.

There are natural ways to change the receptor sensitivity and help manage these symptoms. For example, supplements containing vanadium, chromium, and cinnamon can be very effective. I have specific supplements that I use, which are specially formulated with these ingredients to help manage weight and improve overall health.

If you’re experiencing these symptoms and want to explore natural solutions, please feel free to call our office. We can discuss how we can help you manage menopause symptoms effectively and improve your quality of life.

And in the meantime, you can always grab my book Lymph-Link to learn how to rid your body of toxins while also adding in plant stem cells to your supplementation routine.

Yours in health,
Dr. Loretta
