I am excited to share this client project with you because I feel like it is so relevant for the summer. The catalyst here was to create an oasis for the client, a peaceful retreat to come back to and truly relax in. As many of us go on vacation this summer, in search of respite from busy schedules, I have been thinking a lot about how we can have that same peaceful feeling reflected in our homes. I think this project really captures that vacation essence and is such a good example of how art can set the tone for your interior. |

In the primary bedroom, I sourced this outstanding painting on wood panel by Suzanne T.S. The delicate composition is brought to life through layers of paint that the artist buffs out in the final stages of her work. This process reveals underlayers that come softly into focus. Tiny details are waiting to be discovered by the viewer: birds, leaves, and flowers abound. |

I also recommended that the client paint the primary bedroom this deep shade of blue to make the painting really shine on their wall. The crisp white of the trim moulding and ceiling keeps the space feeling light, while that dreamy blue adds depth and grandeur. |

In the family room, a large blank wall was the perfect place to highlight a piece of statement art. I sourced this gorgeous 48×72 in. painting on canvas by Megan Elizabeth. The cool blue tones with soft grays and whites perfectly complement the client’s sleek furniture and elegant architectural trim work. Fittingly, this painting is called “Oasis." |
|
I sourced a soft landscape by Lenn Hopkins and an abstract pair by Josie Azuma for the dining room. I love how despite the different art styles on display here, the colors tie these pieces together so thoughtfully. The landscape received gorgeous custom framing that really set it off in the space. |

I hope this project provides you with the inspiration to create your own oasis this summer! And of course, if you need help sourcing and selecting the perfect art piece, don't hesitate to reach out.
