Being you has never been done before.
Dear First name / Friend
 
You are here for a reason, in this time, and we need you. Acknowledge your gifts and share them. Maybe you are gifted in listening, or spreading joy, are you a shoulder to cry on or a friend to dance with? Lean on each other and bravely keep seeing the beauty of life – a warm neighbors smile, the sun returning, or the sight of two aging lovers holding hands. 
 
Yet in our awareness of the magic, we must also acknowledge the widespread fear and uncertainty right now (see ANT meditation below for tips on how to do this). Krista Tippett beautifully wrote in a recent letter, “We need settled, grounded bodies and spirits in order to meet what is hard and hurting and rise to what is beautiful and life-giving.” 
 
So how do we stay grounded? 
 
Perspective is helpful. I want to call your attention to the long arc of time and remember that change happens in a thousand tiny footsteps. An old paradigm is dying, and with that there is fear and chaos. Check out my free teaching on the basics of Death & Rebirth which includes a guided nervous system practice. May we focus on the rebirth of a culture woven together, not with exclusion and competition, but with love and cooperation. 
 
My personal death & rebirth:
 
I am doing more and more compassion based podcast interviews (I will share them here soon!) and I am experiencing a death to any remaining traces of conformity. I bow to the aspects of me that contorted to belong, they were trying to help me fit into a comparing, judgmental society. But no more. 
 
I will raise my voice and speak the truth of what I see and believe, even if I risk judgement or alienation. As I share more publicly I will practice discernment and personal boundaries, but as best I can will not get caught in "appearance management". I commit to openly sharing my unrelenting passion and voice for love. I am not sure exactly what this will look like, but I am on my way. I hope you will journey with me.
 
 
I want to share live practice with you through Head & Heart's membership, This Mindful Life. To get a sense of our practice, and start the year off right, I am gifting you our January class. This class offers a grounding practice that supports you through uncertainty and cultivates a sense of hope and connection.
 
What is This Mindful Life?
For 30 precious minutes the 3rd Tuesday of every month we gather on zoom & practice
 
Everyone is muted, 
video optional, 
a teaching & reading is offered, 
followed by a guided practice to 
support your nervous system. 
 
The classes are recorded, along with a library of meditations on anxiety, fear, self-compassion, and more. And it's only $75/year.
