With nearly half of 2024 in our rear-view mirror, we can look back with 
such joy & gratitude at all He has done in and through Cherished, 
and with such anticipation as we chase after Him into new territory. 
 
 
He’s leading us to open doors, wider spaces and new ways 
of doing things, making a path for us to follow in order
 to reach more and more of His precious daughters.

CHANGING DIRECTION
 
Another precious lady has joined our Restoration Programme. She’s walked a hard road suffering intense abuse, then turning to substance abuse and eventually (vulnerable and with a lack of future prospects), ended up in the industry. She was recently welcomed into the rehabilitation centre we partner closely with and began her journey to healing and a whole new way of life. We thank God for this beautiful new beginning for her!
ONE FOOT IN FRONT OF ANOTHER
 
A lady in our Restoration Programme is really going from strength to strength. She's thriving in the reintegration phase of her journey, taking on volunteer admin work to gain experience. The team has been so impressed by her work ethic and enthusiasm, that she may be offered a part- or full-time position which will really be a leap towards independent, healthy living for her. We are so proud of her!
A DIFFERENT PATH
 
Our God makes everything beautiful in its time! A lady who has received our outreach gifts for the last 9 years, has finally reached out to us! She's determined to leave the industry for good, doing deliveries for a leading online company to supplement her income. However, the road is not easy & the pull back to the familiar (even though it’s destructive) is strong. We're coming alongside her to help her stay steadfast in her decision to break completely with this way of life, giving her the guidance & tools she needs to walk into a purpose-filled future… And never look back.

CHERISHED JHB NORTH
 
The team found that most of the ladies were very receptive and open, with many ladies reaching out for prayer and sharing their hearts. One lady even expressed how much she would like for the team to visit every week and not just once a month. There were some precious moments where God pinpointed specific ladies in emotional or physical need, who were then touched by His hand. A number of ladies expressed their desire to leave the industry and some are actively trying to make a way to do so. What a privilege it is to be able to bring God’s light and love into these places. 
CHERISHED EAST RAND
 
The team’s outreaches were packed with God-moments, getting ladies to look past their lifestyles and glamour and encouraging them get real and see Jesus as a person. The question was asked, "What would you ask Jesus if He was standing right in front of you?" The responses were overwhelming and beautiful including forgiveness, eternal life and mercy. 
An ex-industry lady who has walked a courageous journey of healing through our programme, joined the team for two of the outreaches. It was incredible to witness how she moved in the Spirit of God and how her experience and pain has been used to minister to ladies in the same situation she was in. It was a very healing, but challenging experience for her. God multiplied opportunities to pray with ladies and 10 new ladies asked to be added to our devotions list.

We are so grateful for God's continual leading on this adventure with Him!
Please pray that we would keep in step with His gentle promptings, as He shows 
us where and how to reach His precious daughters and lead them home.
