Hello First name / Friend,
From "Not Worthy" to Forbes 30 Under 30: How I Helped This Entrepreneur Overcome Her Limiting Beliefs (and You Can Too!)
This week, I want to share a story close to my heart. It's about one of my incredible young clients Tess, who is a successful and ambitious entrepreneur in the e-commerce space, but had one BIG obstacle: herself.
One of her goals was to be named in the
Forbes 30 under 30 list yet she felt she wasn't “ready”. Or as I identified, she felt “
unworthy”.
Her story, like most of my clients, is inspirational and I wanted to share this with you as it provides an insight to what is possible once you put yourself first, do the work and take inspired action towards your goals.
When Tess first reached out to me, she was filled with self-doubt and limiting beliefs that clouded her worth and potential. She struggled with self-sabotage, often questioning if she was truly deserving of her goals and lacked confidence. Sound familiar?
My mission was clear: help Tess break free from these mental barriers and embrace her true potential.
We all have those limiting beliefs, those stories we tell ourselves that hold us back. For Tess, it stemmed from past experiences that made her feel unworthy of success and not have the confidence to put herself out there and grow.
That's where I came in. Over three months, we embarked on a journey of self-discovery. We dug deep, uncovering the roots of her self-doubt and replacing them with the powerful truth: Tess WAS worthy!
Here's what we did:
- Unmasked the limiting beliefs: We pinpointed the negative narratives in her mind stemming from childhood that were holding her back in all areas of her life and challenged them head-on.
- Transformed self-sabotage: Tess identified her self-sabotaging behaviours and I taught her strategies to break free from that cycle. She learned that the time to act was now and that trusting and accepting herself were crucial to her success. By focusing on setting clear, actionable goals, while reframing her negative self-talk, Tess transformed her mindset from one of doubt to one of significant confidence.
- Embraced self-worth: I helped her develop a deep sense of self-belief, reminding Tess that she deserved to go after her wildest dreams and not put them on hold until a better time, or when she “thinks” she is ready or worthy. She was ready and worthy NOW.
- Prioritised self-care: I reminded Tess that pushing through limitations is 100% required but first we must establish healthy routines to nourish Tess's mind, body, and spirit so she can push further than ever before.
