Happy Saturday to you, friend!

 

I'm writing this newsletter from my parent's kitchen island where my dad is making pancakes for us, the cousins are chatting, and my mom is brewing hot coffee… honestly, I love being here and just so grateful for a cozy place to land while our new home is getting move-in ready. I've never been more thankful to have both sides of our parents nearby, everyone has been so incredibly helpful.

 

I know I haven't shared a TON about our new house yet, and honestly, it's because there is so much happening. I haven't been able to go inside for WEEKS now! It's crazy, but one of the things we did was add crown molding to the entire home along with some speciality molding in the nursery. We also laid down wood floors to match the existing wood in the rooms where there was carpet previously. PLUS we refinished and stained the stairs. All of that paint and wood glue hasn't made for the most hospitable environment for a pregnant lady! It's driving me crazy, but I've been relying on FaceTimes from Ryan! So in truth, you and I are on the same exact page… I, too, would LOVE to see the house!

 

I'm hopeful Laurens and I will move in sometime this week when everything has been able to breath a bit. But our permits are almost cleared for one of the larger projects that will be started ASAP! We're closing in the back porch to make a sun/playroom and adding an extra window in my office. So construction is far from over, but honestly it's kind of fun. Although I will say it's definitely keeping things interesting with my due date quickly approaching! So many fun things all at once and also, pure logistical CHAOS. 

 

All of that to say I have received countless messages that say something like, “when are we going to see the new house?" and honestly, I have the same question… only the Lord knows at this point!

 

Anyway, I hope that answers a few of your questions, I promise to show you it all and Ryan's been documenting, so I can't wait to dive in! But in the meantime, let me give you are little weekend inspiration to hold you over.
