// the mood & vibes this week
— hi, friends :) what a wild start to june it's been.
— i spent last week in mendocino, a wild stetch of northern california's coast, working on a special project for field mag: the culture leaders on good design x the great outdoors. i was staying at salmon creek farm: a former 1970s commune turned queer creative retreat. it was a mystical experience, and i've shared with you about it at length on IG.
— in short … i spent a week in queer community, amongst the kind of cabin-culture architecture we dream of, eating fresh coastal fare and making art in the redwoods. aka, every granola girl's dream.
— feeling very grateful i was able to be there and excited to share the project with you later this year/early next.
— as for this week, it's been go/go/go. i don't know how it's already the middle of june!? it's definitely feeling like summer in LA, and i love watching this season bloom … my garden coming into fruition … grape vines twirling their way up every available vertical surface. oregano and thyme sweetening the air of my little patio. sunsets at 8:30 or later.
— summers are always when i feel most alive, most in my zenith. historically, they have always been seasons when everything happened, seasons when so many of the major milestones of my life have come into being. and i love it!
— so, i'm feeling called to go out and make that happen again. to juice the marrow of this summer. to take the trips, to sell the cool houses, to eat a BLT with fresh farmer's market tomatoes just because i freakin' want to. and that's the vibe i'm feeling lately. wonder if you feel it too.
— in terms of the real estate things … our team is about to enter escrow on the fabuloso pink house we listed a few weeks ago, squarely above asking. we just launched a canyon haus in mount washington; i art-directed the photoshoot + did a little cameo. and i am listing a very special historic craftsman next week!
— talk to you soon, and sending love.
xx,
sam
