To our dear community,

Nearly ten years ago, we had the amazing opportunity to join Rabbi Zvi and Aidy Drizin in their mission to help grow the thriving community they founded for young Jews in Uptown. We feel incredibly blessed to have served as part of the team at The Intown Chabad, and more recently, to have expanded our programming to include all non-young adults in the area through the Intown Community. After thousands of interactions, events, holiday programs, classes, meals, and minyans, we are excited to share news about our next chapter.

With the blessing and support of Rabbi Zvi Drizin, and under the leadership of Rabbi Mendel Dubrawsky of Chabad of North Texas, our family is opening a brand-new Chabad center serving Jews in Highland Park and University Park.
We look forward to all that is to come for Jews in the DFW area, including the continued growth of Intown Chabad. We are also eager to pioneer and build community in our new home, Chabad of the Park Cities.

Our doors, ears, and hearts will remain open to you all! Whether you’ve found your community, are searching for more learning opportunities, or know of friends or family in the area, please stay in touch.

Lots of love,
Baruch & Mooka Hecht

Dearest friends,

It is with great joy and pride that we announce the opening of a new Chabad in the University Park & Highland Park area, to be called Chabad of Park Cities. The new Chabad is being opened under the leadership of Rabbi Baruch and Mooka Hecht. We are very excited for this new venture.

The Hechts came to work with us at The Intown Chabad in 2015 and for the past 9 years their leadership and dedication has impacted the thousands of Jews who have engaged with us at The Intown Chabad. Recognizing the growing needs of the Dallas Jewish community and the needs of a wider and more family oriented demographic, the Hechts are undertaking the founding of this new Chabad. The new Chabad of Park Cities will serve the Jewish community of University and Highland Park with programming for people in the area. Rabbi Baruch and Mooka Hecht are uniquely poised for success in this new Jewish community as all who know them have experienced the kindness, wisdom and vision you'd expect from leaders of a Jewish community.

I am incredibly excited about this new venture and on behalf of myself and all of us at The Intown Chabad we want to recognize Rabbi Baruch, Mooka and their family for the incredible work they have done with The Intown Chabad and The Intown Community and to wish them incredible success in their new Chabad location.

Park Cities, being a neighboring area of Uptown, will ensure that we are in constant contact and I view this not as a parting of ways, but as growing areas of impact.

Chabad in Park Cities is joining the larger growing network of Chabad Houses under the auspices of Chabad of North Texas and the leadership of Rabbi Mendel Dubrawsky, founder of Chabad in DFW. Chabad of North Texas serves the needs of every Jew in the wider DFW area through a network of local Chabad organizations.

Best regards,

Rabbi Zvi & Aidy Drizin
