About the program: The Black Creators Festival Initiative offers a platform for talented Black Canadian content creators to showcase their work at international film and TV festivals and markets. This initiative extends assistance to selected participants, including pre-festival preparation, festival accreditation, and in some cases, travel and accommodation support. Eligibility criteria - Identify as Black (African, Canadian, Caribbean, European, American, South/Central American, Mixed Race, Other)
- Be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Be able to attend the festival between determined dates
Successful candidates should: - Have a solid package, a strong pitch, and a plan to take your project to the next level
- Have at least one project (scripted or documentary) that has financing for at least 20% of its budget
- Have a financing plan
- Be available to attend BSO-curated orientation, sessions and workshops

À propos du programme: L'initiative du festival des créateurs Noirs offre une plateforme aux créateurs de contenu canadiens Noirs de talent pour présenter leur projet à des festivals et marchés internationaux du film et de la télévision. Cette initiative apporte une aide aux participants sélectionnés, notamment pour la préparation du festival, l'accréditation au festival et, dans certains cas, l'aide au transport et à l'hébergement. Critères d'éligibilité - S'identifier comme Noir (Africain, Canadien, Caribéen, Européen, Américain, Sud/Central, métis, autre)
- Être citoyen canadien ou résident permanent
- Être en mesure de participer au festival entre les dates déterminées
Les candidats retenus doivent : - Être disponible pour assister aux sessions et aux ateliers organisés par le BÉN
- Avoir au moins un projet (narratif ou documentaire) qui dispose d'un financement d'au moins 20% de son budget
- Avoir un plan de financement
