To long-time followers and brand-new folks alike: Thank you for being here and becoming a part of this story. It means a lot. I appreciate you. Let's dive in.
 
 
Sure, I'm just a broker. So why build a brand? Why should you care?
 
Some readers might know me personally, but there may be a few who are curious about the individual behind the m.kahler brand. I believe that I'm different than your average "broker," and I wanted to create something that felt authentically me.
 
First and foremost, I love what I do. I feel at peace when I'm doing this; advising, strategizing, and helping people navigate the home buying/selling process. I didn't just want to be a "broker"… I want to build a real estate company with a soul.
 
I believe in the idea of "look good, feel good, do great." When you come prepared and you feel good about yourself and your decisions, magic happens. For that reason, I wanted to create something I could be proud of and bring my best to you.
 
The elements of my brand all stem from styles I love and icons that evoke nostalgia or are close to my heart. This is a celebration of what I've pulled from the past to get where I am today.
 
 
My brand is my space, my investment.

INSPIRATION
 
The beginning of this journey starts with inspiration. As a college athlete, I personally enjoy the cultural significance and sprit of sport. Great design, a good sit and sharp dress get me going. Key cultural moments, people, places, and art are in the DNA of m.kahler.

REFERENCES
 
When we set out to create the logo, we aimed for a design that was not overly complicated. KISS. Keep it simple, sir.* (We're respectful around here.) We wanted to give a nod to the 70's-era fonts and designs, and took inspiration from the innovative and timeless principles of Bauhaus.

RELATABILITY
 
I wanted to be able to have the brand be relatable, approachable, real. It was important to have real things with utility: a well-structured cotton t-shirt, house matches and home socks as core pieces. (Much more to come.)

Creating business cards is odd. I think they're played. Who uses them anymore? But in this line of work you need a card. It was important to create something fun and reflective of me. My business card gives more than contact information. It gives context.

Real Estate is more than just a transaction; it's about being a steward of one of the most intimate experiences in people's lives.
