JUNE 12, 2024
Hi friends,

How are you?

No really, how are you? Let us know if you're feeling high or low, and if we can support you in any way. We have an incredible community of guides and practitioners and space-holders and therapists and physical spaces and et cetera, and we're happy to put you in touch with anyone. Connecting community is core to what we care about.

In that spirit, the summer solstice is approaching. On June 20th, it will be the longest day of the year – marking the beginning of the season. One of our teachers says the Summer Solstice is “the time when the veil between the worlds is thinnest, and our connection to nature and spirit is enhanced.”

During the Solstice, Zach will be co-hosting a trip to the Arctic, bringing together indigenous leaders from the Southern hemisphere stewarding conservation work in the Amazon to meet with their Northern counterparts in the North Pole. Elyse will be in California on a sacred sanctuary land she is helping with, sitting in sadhana for two and half hours before the sun's rise to align with the energy of the sun.

Around the world – the pagans are hosting Midsummer celebrations take place to mark the Solstice. The Litha tradition will be hosting fire rituals, with massive bonfires are lit to ward off evil spirits and celebrate the sun's power. In Shintoism, the Summer Solstice, known as the "Geshi" is honored on an individual level through visiting shrines, or making offerings to deities. How do you want to celebrate?

With love and listening,
Zach and Elyse
