A couple of weeks ago I got to speak to a remarkable group of newcomers on the fundamentals of renting and buying at the Economic Empowerment Learning Symposium & Job Fair alongside Fahd Hasan (RBC Mortgage Specialist) , orchestrated beautifully by ACCES Employment - an incredible charity organization that assists newcomers in Canada facing employment barriers to entering the Canadian job market. 

 

 

The Lecture was called “Rent vs. Buy?” and was sponsored by RBC. I joined in as a guest speaker speaking on the rental market, and what Landlords generally look for in rental applications and as well as the steps towards homeownership. 
 

 

Lots of thoughtful and insightful questions were asked and diverse perspectives shared!

It was a real honour to present in a room full of very insightful and highly educated newcomers who are motivated to pursue their dreams here in Canada. Educating and empowering newcomers & future homeowners has always been my passion since entering this industry and we’re thrilled to bring this same presentation online as a free webinar.
