to giant auditoriums, teaching is my JAM!

 

Raised by high school educators, I witnessed first hand the impact

of this profession. Teaching is my 

greatest, happiest place.

 

Creating a comfortable

space despite an 

uncomfortable topic 

is what I adore and

work very hard to 

attain. This is where

I find my flow state!

We advocate!

I've never met a sex educator who wasn't involved in advocacy.

 

We are regularly at school board meetings, city council meetings and protests. We advocate for LGBTQ rights, women's rights, comprehensive sex ed in schools, healthcare access, racial justice and many other issues.

 

Our career is PERSONAL and POLITICAL. We do not leave our work at the “office.” We are compassionate AND feisty and if you've ever met a sex educator who is not advocating, they have severly misunderstood the assignment.

I was lucky to be a data collector in the largest lubricant study to date from Indiana University, home of The Kinsley Institute.

 

Sexual health (especially for women and marginalized communities) continues to be underfunded, creating and continuing gaps in sexual knowledge.

 

I continue to study how the social determinants of health impact our ability to experience sexual pleasure.
