Meet the Owners: Patty Joslyn and Larry Babic
Welcome to the Village Sock Shop new page. Introducing original owners, Patty Joslyn and Larry Babic, our shop is a testament to our belief that integrity, quality, and people matter. We strive to offer fairly traded goods and natural products, including organic cotton, bamboo, alpaca, and wool. Our goal is to provide soft goods that do no harm—items everyone can feel good about.
Our Family
Patty and Larry are proud parents to four wonderful children: Jesse, Dylan, Thea, and Clay. They also have a daughter-in-law and a grandson, who they adore. Let's not forget Charlie B, the wonder dog, who is an integral part of the family.
Our Journey
Mendocino, a charming seaside town with about 730 full-time residents, became part of our lives in March 2015 when we bought a shop named All Legs, which was about to close. We rebranded it and brought it back to life, because really, who doesn’t love a good pair of socks?
However, family matters called us back to Vermont, and on January 2, 2018, the amazing Amy took over and re-opened it as the Village Sock Shop. Now, on April 1st (no fooling), we were thrilled to buy it back.
We love circles, spirals, ocean spray, flowering plants, our families, friends, customers, and of course, SOCKS.
