To the best customers in the world,
We want to start off by saying thank y’all for a great 2024 spring season.  This season marked the 33rd year in business for us.  Wow it is so hard to believe it has been that long.  You guys are the best customers in the world because if it was not for your support over the years, we would not have made it through the first year.  Our family has truly been blessed and the friendships we have created over the years truly are the best part of PGH.

Rumors have been across the board the last few months about the future for PGH. I am here to tell you the future for PGH is outstanding.   We have some exciting news, and we want to let y’all know that PGH will be starting a new chapter as of July 1st, 2024.  Cody and Shelby Vavra will be taking over as owners of PGH.  We had several options for who would take over the ownership, but it kept coming back to Cody and Shelby.  They not only both have the same passion for plants as we do but they have the education and practical work experience to make sure that PGH continues for another 33 years as a family-owned mom and pop store like Rhonda, and I created so many years ago.

As for our future, we intend to still be a part of PGH.  Rest assured, Rhonda and I plan on being involved in PGH for as long as we can be a benefit to Cody and Shelby.  Our goal is to make this a smooth transition and keep doing what we love. We consider Amarillo our home and have no intention of leaving.    Aaryn will be moving to Colorado in the next couple of months but will continue to help PGH through the transition for at least a year or so.  The next chapter in her life is yet to be determined but she will be amazing at any endeavor she decides to take on.
Thank y’all for all your amazing support over the years and thank you in advance for the support that I know you will give Cody and Shelby in the future.

Sincerely,
James, Rhonda and Aaryn

Shelby & Cody Vavra
Hey there!!

I'll keep this short and sweet this week since we had so much to say up above! One of the biggest things I'm noticing around town are sad trees with yellow leaves!!! They are iron deficient! The best way to turn them a healthy, happy green is by using Medicap Implants. These implants are drilled directly into the trunk of the tree and you should start seeing results in a few weeks! I always suggest people take a before and after picture for comparison.

Another big thing is mosquitoes! We have a ton of great plants to help repel them! Citronella Geraniums, Lemon Grass, Rosemary, Mint, and Lavender. Shelby even planted up some mixed pots that are nice and full!

That's all I have for this week! Thanks for reading!

See you all soon
