Role of pelvic floor therapy during menopause
Lots of changes can happen to women as they enter the menopausal chapter of their lives. During this transition, the body starts to produce less estrogen, the sex hormone needed for the female reproductive system. Lower estrogen = weaker pelvic floor because we usually lose muscle mass with age. Hello to the importance of strength training!
Insert pelvic floor therapy.
First, let's make this very lovingly clear: We're here for you.
Lori + I want to come alongside and educate you on the exercises + techniques to strengthen those weakening muscles so you have control over your bladder, bowel movements, + have improved sexual function. Let's not forget to reduce the symptoms of urinary incontinence or even prolapse! We want you to understand your body better + take proactive steps to better your pelvic floor health.
Doesn't this sound empowering?!
Through personalized treatment + therapies, we focus on improving your overall quality of life so you can be your best self. Cue the April newsletter when we said pelvic health IS our mental health + vice versa.
And remember, it's never too late.
