The past several weeks has ushered in a buzz of activity for the BTDC. As May wound down with the Bernards Township Memorial Day Parade, our candidates and committee representatives have been busy attending and managing all manner of events. June engagements have featured the Municipal Alliance’s Twilight Challenge, an awards night at Ridge High School, and the BTDC’s annual summer picnic.

The BTDC is also proud to announce its 2024/2025 Executive Committee, which was voted in during the group’s June closed meeting. The slate includes;
Jane Conklin, Chair
Jennifer Aaron, Vice Chair
Fred Douglis, Treasurer
Kristin Blomquist, Secretary
Sara Nichols, Media Chair
As we move through the summer months, more than the weather is heating up. The Graner & Subervi campaign team and the entire BTDC are working hard toward electing a more representative government in Bernards Township. If you are able to help out in any way – with canvassing, phone banking, or partaking in other volunteer opportunities, we welcome you to join us! When Kristin Blomquist, incoming secretary of the Bernards Township Democratic Committee, faced various career conundrums over the years, her response has always been, “I can figure this out” or “I can teach myself that.”
There has been a lot of activity the past month across our community. I was one of two Township Committee members who attended the program for the Bernards Township Seniors (60+) Program at the County Mt. Airy Senior Center on June 1. The program included presentations from various partners from the Township and was coordinated with the Somerset County department on Aging and Disability Services.
Among our upcoming priorities, we will be planning for the fourth round Affordable Housing (AH) obligations. READ MORE→
