While we hope that the brand will return as it once was, there is a big long waiting period and we need skincare and personal care solutions now! So I went to work vetting and researching, testing and listening to training and information calls about a variety of beauty brands. I have VERY HIGH standards for brands I will personally recommend and I only found one - Crunchi - that I felt confident recommending across the board, as well as several other Beauty brands that are great for specific products they carry. I created a swap guide for Beautycounter faves to Crunchi products as well as a Clean Beauty Shelves recommendations for other solid options - I continually add to these shelves as well, so check back often! A couple of criteria that were non-negotiables for me when vetting for a one stop shop brand to recommend - in this case Crunchi won: Product performance, ingredient safety and heavy metal testing. As well as product purity maintained once it was packaged (a lot of plastic packaging leach chemicals into products) as well as sustainability of the packaging itself. I also wanted a brand that had high quality skincare AND makeup, so that it was a simpler shopping experience for you! Here is just a small snapshot of what this company is all about. - US owned and operated out of Florida by the two female founders who are very grounded and care a lot about their products and the community they serve.

- Third party test & screen their formulas for heavy metals - I'm finding this to be one of the most challenging things to determine in my search, so I was very happy to see tangible reports from Crunchi & listen in to several product development calls.
- Source raw materials diligently and create high performing makeup and skincare.
- Many of their products are now EWG Verified (an important distinction, meaning they’ve shared all of the needed product details with ewg’s rigorous testing and screening standards to become verified. Its a slow process for smaller brands, as there is a cost associated, but I appreciate that they’re invested in this metric)
- All products packaged in glass and contain minimal plastic. Any plastic they use is considered Plastic Neutral and they partner with 4ocean (a non-profit dedicated to removing the harmful effects of plastic from our environment, especially our waterways).

Crunchi also has a fabulous makeup line with POWDERS!!! Yes, those of you who have missed powdered eyeshadows, bronzer and more, you're in luck, because I'm hearing Crunchi's are amazing, I haven't had a chance to try the powders, but I have been using their foundation and creamy concealer and I really love them both. The applicator on the concealer is much stiffer than Beautycounter's, but the product is phenomenal and I've usually use a beauty blender or makeup brush to apply my concealer anyway! Other makeup to note: powdered bronzers, eyeshadow palettes, cream & powder blushes, lip glosses, lip liner pencils, brow pencils, eyeliner pencils (everyone trying the pencils so far love how they apply; creamy and soft with great color left behind), highighters, mascara. |
