I am so excited to welcome you to the updated newsletter, Faith FULL Echoes! I want to take this issue of the newsletter to give you some backstory and let you know what you can expect from me in this space in the future.
Over the last several years, I have been trying to build
my blog to create a resource for Bible study and living out a Christian worldview. But I have found that blogs are very demanding, requiring you to include Search Engine Optimization (SEO) so people can find the post.
This means you have to worry about the words you use and don’t use, what pictures you include, and a lot of other little things that actually have nothing to do with writing a blog post. And it is draining. As a result, I have not been very consistent. And since I have used my newsletter primarily to promote my blog, I haven’t been very consistent with it, either.
So I have been brainstorming how I can make this space more personal and exclusive to those who have been gracious enough to subscribe. And I think I’ve figured it out!
In the future, these newsletters will be more personal. Yes, I may share a blog post if it applies to our topic, but for the most part, the content you get here will be exclusive only to the newsletter.
This means I don’t have to worry about searchability, and you get a more transparent and authentic Kelli.
I plan to send out a new issue of the newsletter each Tuesday, except when I take the week off, which will be announced ahead of time. If you look at the top right hand corner of the email, you will see a volume and issue number. I do plan to create a place where you can access back copies of the newsletter, but again, only those who have subscribed will have access.
Having said all of that, I have a lot of ideas for topics to discuss, but if there is something you would like to talk about, please reply to this email and give me your list! The beauty of this space is that I’m not locked into any particular topic, though I will always strive to point you to the Word through our conversations. And of course, as we begin this journey, I would love to hear your thoughts on the subjects we cover.
I hope you are as excited about this change as I am. My goal is to really nurture our relationship off of social media so we can take our friendship deeper without the limitations we find on those platforms and on the blog. I’m excited you’re here!
