After a busy registration month, spring classes are officially kicking off on Monday, February 5! Aspire Program and Operations staff are working hard to guide new and existing students through a testing and placement process to prepare them for a successful spring season.

The organization's staff and passionate volunteer instructors bring a wealth of experience, ensuring that every learner receives top-notch guidance and support on their educational path. "We believe that education is the cornerstone of personal and societal growth," says Paul DiBiase, the Chief Development Officer at Aspire. "Our mission is to empower individuals, irrespective of their background, to unlock their full potential and contribute meaningfully to their communities.”

We are very thankful for our partners, skilled staff, dedicated volunteer teachers, and all the supporters of Aspire's mission. Together we are motivated by our students' desire to learn because we know that confident learners can overcome obstacles and reach new heights for themselves, their families, and their communities.

Empowering Lives: Partnering for Change in Texas, One Living Wage at a Time
We had the pleasure of sharing a thoughtful lunch with our dedicated partners at ReadyToWork, and the experience went far beyond just a delicious meal. In the vast landscape of Texas, a startling reality persists: only 1 in 4 young adults earn a living wage. This eye-opening statistic serves as the driving force behind our profound gratitude for our collaboration with ReadyToWork (RTW).

RTW stands on the front lines of a mission to redefine employment in Texas, focusing on raising living wage standards and reshaping lives. Their approach is nothing short of revolutionary, as they meticulously identify in-demand jobs and essential skills, creating immersive training programs that empower individuals to pivot into roles that command at least $17/hour.

These partnerships extend far beyond financial figures; they are about transforming the fabric of our community. Through our collaboration with RTW, we are actively working to dismantle barriers and create a community where everyone has the opportunity to thrive. The impact of these alliances resonates in the stories of individuals finding new paths, the hope sparked by skill development, and the promise of a brighter future for those once constrained by economic limitations.

We are not just sharing meals, but we are sowing the seeds of positive change and ensuring that the chance to thrive extends to every member of our community.
