A SUMMER TO REMEMBER:
Season for  Togetherness
Summer is the perfect season to gather and grow in community!  While some Groups take a seasonal break, others find ways to come together for picnics, special events, or shared interests.  Whether you are taking a much needed vacation, or are swarmed with kids activities - remember to take the time to be renewed and refreshed by togetherness with the Holy Spirit.

Summer is a wonderful time to take full advantage of sunny sabbaths and family time!  These next few months are perfect for planning the Fall and Winter seasons with your group, and asking the Lord's direction for the upcoming year!  Keep reading to check out upcoming events you don't want to miss as well.

We have resources and suggestions for you throughout this newsletter, but it doesn't stop there.  Explore the Resource Section we have curated in Planning Center for more info about the Discipleship Pathway, the Rock Church Culture Guide, our Need to Talk sermon series, and more.

Enjoy the sunshine, and hope to see you soon!

Summer is the perfect season to build community and invest in relationships!
— enjoy this season, together!

Update Concerning Use of Robert Morris Content and Curriculum:
In light of the recent news concerning Robert Morris, the leadership team of Rock Church has decided to discontinue its endorsement and use of his content and resources, whether in written or digital form. We want to equip you as leaders at Rock Church with clarity and resources to help you and your groups navigate this unfortunate time in the body of Christ. If you are unfamiliar with the news that has recently come to light,
please see the official statement from Gateway Church below.
Please know we are here for you, and offer weekly healing ministry nights at our campuses for you and anyone in your groups through our Kingdom Life Ministry. If you would like to have someone reach out to you for prayer, please fill out our Prayer Request Form at sdrock.com/nextsteps and someone from your campus will reach out directly.
As group leaders you have access to RightNow Media and other Rock Church resources, messages, and series available to you. If we can support you in finding an approved/recommended curriculum as an alternative to something you may have previously used by Robert Morris, please reach out to our Groups Team, we would love to support you.
Please know that we are praying for you and are so grateful for your “Yes” as you are discipling others along our Discipleship Pathway through your groups and as you minister to others inside and outside the church. We appreciate you and are always praying for you.
Would you join us in prayer for all those who are impacted? Remember, Prayer is our Priority - It is our first response, not our last resort. We hope to see you this Wednesday at First Wednesday Prayer so we can pray together. God Bless You!

A Culture of Discipleship starts first with disciples.  As Jesus’ Disciples, our first responsibility is to be with Him, before we can be for Him. As we strive to KNOW GOD in fresh ways, our desire to GROW in COMMUNITY will bloom.

With this growth, we will cultivate culture and “toil the soil”, while striving to MAKE A DIFFERENCE in God’s Kingdom and in our community. I pray this Discipleship journey you are on is a blessing.
