Hey! How are you? This photo is from my new friend Whitney aka TomKatStitchery. She has a huge following on YouTube teaching people how to sew their own clothes. (I’ve secretly always wanted to hang with a YouTuber! What about you?)

Whitney’s on a journey exploring her style and she’s asked me to help her. (Squeal!! 🙌🏼) You can check out this YouTube video about her advanced color analysis session, plus her thoughts about color analysis in general.

We’ve got a few more videos planned to talk about style rules, style tips, body shape guides, and lots of different style things.

Anything you’d specifically like to see a video on? Reply to this email and tell me!

Outside, it’s hotter than Satan’s 🔥 house cat.

And you know that inside your office building you’re going to be assaulted with air conditioning so cold it will give you goosebumps.

So now it’s 6:45am and you’re standing in your closet wondering how you get dressed for anything when the thing that feels best is… nothing.

And nothing is probably not an option in your company dress code 🤷🏼‍♀️.

I grew up in the Mid-South, just a few miles from the banks of the Mississippi River, and walking outside in July and August could feel like you were moving through liquid Vaseline.

Sticky, heavy, exhausting.

My experience surviving that heat and humidity, combined with the wisdom handed down from generations of stylish Southern ladies has given me the secrets to getting dressed in the heat. You can look pulled together and fresh without freezing your fanny off in your workplace that’s kept at a temperature only a bro could love.

Today on the blog I'm sharing my top 5 tips that will be your saving graces!

Is Color Analysis on your to-do list? We’re hosting a Marathon Color Analysis week from August 19-24 and there are only 4 spots left…so jump!

These are the only available appointments in August. The style coaching side of our practice continues to grow so we’re putting all of our color analysis appointments into 1 week each month.

The next Big, Fat, Mega Color Analysis Week runs September 9 - 13.

The actual haul of summer deliciousness sitting on my kitchen counter.

10 years ago Brad and I discovered the Peach Truck in a church parking lot in Belle Meade, Tennessee. We’d been back home to see my Daddy and took a detour through the Nashville area. Juiciest detour ever. That Saturday we loaded a case of peaches into our Outback and they smelled so good that we immediately wished we’d gotten 2.

Last week Brad saw the Peach Truck up in our Indiana hood and we did not hesitate to lock down an advance order of peaches. When he got to the truck to pick up our fruit he scored blueberries, too.

Double yum! See if The Peach Truck will be in your neck of the woods and if it is RUN. Do. Not. Walk. to get your peaches, blueberries, cherries, and whatever other deliciousness they will bring to you.

Happily 🥰,

Or we might not. This stuff is totally unpredictable. 🤷🏽‍♀️

But mostly, we want you to know that we only recommend stuff that we love and use ourselves. We're shoppers, too. Pinky-swear promise.
