A little bit of clarification…

Housing assignment emails and move-in time slots
We've heard from a number of you today with questions about your housing assignment email and how to sign up for a move-in time slot for August. Below, you'll find specific instructions and information, based on what type of student you are and where you'll be traveling to campus from. We hope this is helpful!

If you still have questions, please reach out to us at orientation@rochester.edu.

Information for international students
(and those arriving from locations outside of the U.S.)
You should have received your housing assignment in an email sent around 10 p.m. (EDT) on Monday night (to your University of Rochester email address). As an international student, you have been assigned to arrive and move in on Monday, August 19

You can view your assigned move-in time slot in the StarRez portal by following these instructions. While you are free to select a different time slot, we highly encourage you to choose a Monday move-in time slot. There will be optional events and activities, specifically for international students and families, on Monday evening and throughout the day on Tuesday that you won't want to miss!

Please note that assistance in moving your belongings into your room will not be available between 4 and 8 p.m. (EDT) on both days.

You'll have until Thursday, August 1 to select your time slot, but they are available on a first-come, first-served basis, so we recommend reserving your spot soon.
