Attention Deficit Disorder and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADD & ADHD) are well-known and well-studied conditions in modern medicine with diagnoses increasing exponentially over the past 20-30 years. 
 
Even as rates rise, modern treatment options have remained mostly the same. Therefore, we have to wonder if there aren't better perspectives and solutions?
 
Ayurveda, as a time-tested holistic healing science, has long assessed the varying symptoms related to ADD and ADHD from the perspective of understanding and honoring each unique individual, their constitution, and their symptoms. 
 
This week, we dive deep into the Ayurvedic perspective on ADD and ADHD, including doshic, or constitutional, variations and manifestations and offer some tips to consider when approaching ADD and ADHD naturally and with compassion. 
 
We also look at the correlation between ADHD and hormonal health in women - an under-evaluated yet exceptionally important aspect of a woman's ADHD healing journey.
