// the mood & vibes this week
— aaaanddd the first update is that we are in escrow! ah! decidedly over asking. which is so exciting. i'll share more details when we actually close in a few weeks, but it's been an absolute whirlwind. yesterday, my co-listing agent and overall bestie courtney & i were sitting in the compass office on sunset blvd in silver lake attending to the frenzy. every buyer who submitted an offer on this house was so enthused, so madly in love. and it was honestly a joy to see on the other side. the way folks responded incredibly well to the presentation, to the photography (some of which was mine!) and the overall narrative felt awesome.
— the market has been a little slower in these last few weeks as it's the fourth (how was yours!? i went to malibu and then beat the heat in a sports bar) but the good houses are still attracting all the girlies. my friends and i are really noticing that there is a flight to quality … everyone who's shopping right now knows what the best houses are, and they attract all the interest.
— in terms of listings, our team has some incredibly sexy ones coming up. including a certain famous musician's former house in los feliz by a notorious architect. she's rambling, she's gorgeous, she's everything … and i helped out at the photoshoot last week on a thursdsay evening, after the blistering heat of day gave way to something more soothing, something more golden.
— last week, i was in northern california visiting family where i grew up, marin county (across the bridge from san francisco). us 4 (my mom, stepdad, sister, and myself) haven't been in the same place in months. it was incredible … i kayaked, noshed, & wandered in the redwoods. places i would visit if i were you in marin include … the mill valley library, stillwater in fairfax (owned by friends!), stefano's, piazza di angelo, inverness/point reyes/bolinas/stinson … i could go on!
— i feel like it's so important to be with family in the summertime. sure, all year round is great, but to be with your important people outside … in the sun … eating the yummy foods … goin' on the adventures … my best core memories with the fam take place in the summertime. and honestly, my best memories, period.
— i may or may not be a broken record on why this is my absolute favorite season, but i will continue to wax poetic if that's alright. it's just … everything feels lush & alive, flora/fauna/& us all operating at a fever pitch. i've felt that shift lately as we creep into consistently 85-degree+ days … letting myself say what i feel, go where feels good, live boldly. and i love feeling this way.
