THE PAINS & EXCITEMENT
OF STARTING OVER

I typed this paragraph 4 times. There's no easy way to admit that it's time for a business refresh. Took me 9 months to accept it. But it's been 2 years in the making.
I'm sharing everything I'm working on for the next 3 months and my plan to rebuild. Keep on reading

THIS VERY NEWSLETTER
You know I've had ESP issues in the past 🫀. I've stuck with Flodesk for 2 years now, so it's hard to switch. I've tried: Convertkit, Drip, Active Campaign, Aweber, Mailerlite… it's a never ending story.

Take a closer look at this email and notice that I like structured emails. Not necessarily β€˜pretty’, but well organized. Headings, images, bold text, emojis, colored text-links, bulleted lists… It creates a pleasant reading experience.

Currently debating (testing):
βœ… sending shorter emails and emailing twice per week
βœ… sticking to informational (newsletter-type) once a week

I've been working on building a newsletter structure. I'm currently back to testing Convertkit for those purposes (also because I want to get rid of Zapier).

I want my audience to open my email and immediately, by just taking one quick look, KNOW it's me. I want to be able to highlight words, add quote blocks and poll my audience (been paying for Feedletter). ConvertKit seems to be the best fit. I'll keep you updated.

CLICKFUNNELS
Been working on setting up proper funnels. Going back to what made this business grow so fast in 2020: ads and funnels. ✌🏻 Simple and basic.
Deviating from what really works by trying all the shiny things had a negative impact in the bottom line

Currently testing multiple similar types of software. I'm 99% sure CF will be the winner. Can't wait to share more!

MESSAGING SWITCH
More PLR, MRR and AI talk. I've shared my thoughts on MRR courses before (and that hasn't changed). But, let's face it, it's here to stay.

Instead of complaining and ignoring the situation: what can I do to make it better? Built my business for the past 4+ years on selling PLR. Built a membership that gives people the tools they need to start selling PLR. Now I've switched my messaging to better match that niche and attract the right people.

Plus, it would be hypocritical not to talk about those topics when that's what my business is about.

ADS, EMAIL & YOUTUBE
Nailing down which content channels to keep has been a pain 😫. Ads, email and YouTube will remain the #1 priority (got rid of the FB group and it's been great for my productivity).
But what does that mean for the podcast

I like the podcast, it's fun. It allows me to go way deeper into topics without writing mile-long emails. But it will never be THE channel for growth in this business.

Get rid of it to focus on what's proven to work?
