- Events at Trucks & Taps Patio, 5402 S. 108th St., this week include Music Bingo on July 17 from 6 to 8 p.m.; Variety Open Mic Night on July 18 from 6 to 8 p.m.; and Summer Sip & Shop with 15+ vendors on July 20 from 3 to 8 p.m.
- Cooking Class with Chef Dan from Chef Around the Block is July 18 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Chef Around the Block Pop Up Shop, 220 S. 31st Ave., Suite 3105. You’ll make pasta and sauces. Cost is $35-$50.
- Upstream Brewing Co.'s Seasonal Beer Dinner is July 18 at 6. p.m. The five-course dinner includes Bubble Buddy Tropical Seltzer served with Tuna Poke Wonton, In Bloom Belgian Ale served with Beer Brined Pork Tenderloin, Space Monkey Biermosa served with Orange-Miso Marinated Seabass, Hop Pursuit 2 Double Juicy IPA served "Beer Can" Chicken Thighs, and Afterglow White Stout served with Layered Caramel Parfait. Cost is $75.
- J.Gilbert's Wood-Fired Steaks & Seafood, 1010 Capital Ave., will have a Don Julio Tequila Dinner on July 18 at 6 p.m. The four-course pairing is $85 per person. Reservations can be made by calling (531) 222-9218.
- Fun-Plex celebrates National Daiquiri Day on July 19 with $5 16-ounce frozen daiquiris at Breaker’s Bay Swim-Up Bar at 7003 Q St. Must be 21+ to enter the Breaker’s Bay area. Limit one offer per person.
- Hardy Coffee Co. will have a Coffee Tasting Event featuring Rwanda's Ikawa Yaku and Ethiopia's Yirgacheffe on July 20 at the Highlander location, 2112 N. 30th St. Reserve a space to drop in from 10 a.m. to noon, visiting stations, enjoying samples, nibble on some baked goods and chocolates that compliment the coffee, and leave with a 4-oz bag of Ethiopian coffee. Cost is $18.
- Kara's Kookies Cookie Classes at Coffee Alley-Callejon del Cafe, 7310 Harrison St., La Vista, Neb., on July 20 from noon to 2 p.m. (Sand and Sugar) and July 27 from noon to 2 p.m. (Under the Sea). Classes are $50.
- The Casual Pint, 8718 Countryside Plaza, will hold a Catillon Rose de Gambrinus and Tilquin Quetsche Tapping Event on July 20 at 1 p.m. Draft and package will be available.
- Upcoming classes and teas at The Bubbly Tart, 3020 Leavenworth St., include Afternoon Tea on July 20 at 1 p.m., Brunch Tea on July 21 at 11 a.m., Brunch Tea on July 28 at 11 a.m., Cake Decorating on Aug. 4 at 11 a.m., and Macaron Class on Aug. 18 at 10:30 a.m. Prices vary. - Yoga and Beer is July 21 at noon at Nebraska Brewing Company Tap Room & Brewery, 6950 S. 108th St., La Vista, Neb. The flow yoga class is suitable for all levels. $15 for the class and the first drink after the class (beer, a glass of wine, or a bloody mary).
- Butter Brickle Ice Cream Day will be held on National Ice Cream Day, July 21, from noon to 4 p.m at Turner Park at Midtown Crossing. Butter brickle ice cream from Cold Stone Creamery will be $2 per bowl for the first 500 attendees, and live entertainment includes O.NE Finest Dance Studio, Mister K’s Clubhouse and Stomp Chomp and Roar. - Hula Around The Block is July 26 during Hoff Fourth Friday at the Hoff Family Arts & Culture Center, 1001 S. Sixth St., Council Bluffs, Iowa. Chef Around The Block will serve Hawaiian entrees from 5 to 9 p.m. including Kalua Pork, Char Siu Ribs, Huli Huli Chicken, and Kalua Jackfruit. Dessert provided by Iso Good Kitchen and Panaderya.
- Charcuterie Classes at Lauritzen Gardens, 100 Bancroft St., are July 26, Aug. 16, and Sept. 23 at 6 p.m. Led by Sandy Vacanti of Artisan Boards of Omaha, you'll learn how to create and design a board to take home (one board per two-person registration). A custom board will be provided to sample from during the event. Cost is $100 for non-members, $85 for garden members (two people per registration).
- Summer Sweets Cookie Decorating at Mangelsen's, 3457 S. 84th St., is July 27 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. This beginner class is $65.
- Dirty Birds presents Cock Fight, a cocktail showdown between Laka Lono Rum Club and Fizzy's Fountain & Liquors, on July 27. Tickets are $100 and includes food served throughout the night. Call (402) 557-5558 during normal business hours to purchase tickets.
- The Ninth Annual Bloody Mary Mix Off is July 28 at 10:30 a.m. at Founders One Nine, 1915 Jackson St. The fundraiser benefits Nebraska Chapter of the National Hemophilia Foundation, and includes brunch and unlimited Bloody Mary samples from every competitor. Tickets are $35-$500. Must be 21+.
- South African wine maker Lubanzi Wines will have a wine tasting event at Wine Cellar 510, 7474 Towne Center Parkway, Papillion, Neb., on July 30 from 6 to 8 p.m. Cost is $25 per person or $20 for Wine Club Members. Reservations can be made at (402) 933-3836.
- Gin and Phonics, a fundraiser for Right to Read, is Aug. 1 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at Sonny's, 1905 S. 67th St. Your ticket includes one drink ticket and an assortment of appetizers. Those feeling competitive can compete in the boozy adult spelling bee, where contestants will face off in a battle of wits and words.
- Yoga @ Corkscrew is Aug. 3 from 10 a.m. to noon at Corkscrew Wine & Cheese, 10924 Prairie Brook Road. Bring a mat, towel and water bottle for the outdoor class. $25 and includes one drink following class.
- Root Beer Float Day at The Durham Museum is Aug. 3 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Free 8 ounce root beer floats at the old fashioned soda fountain, while supplies last. Activities included with admission.
- High Tea Omaha and Spirit World host a Mediterranean Wine Dinner on Aug. 4 at 6 p.m. at 6680 Center St. Cost is $125 per person and includes a five-course meal and wine pairings plus gratuity. Reservations are required.

- Stories Coffee Co.. has a refreshing Coco Mocha drink, which is their house cold brew with mocha and coconut, topped off with some heavy whip. Locations are 11432 Davenport St., 15555 West Dodge Road, 10520 S. 204th St. (Elkhorn), 3201 Farnam St. Suite 6112, and 10710 Q St.
- PaC’s Popcorn and Cocktails, 1118 Howard St., has a delicious summer pairing: A Lavender Martini paired with Blackberry Cheesecake Popcorn.
- Bearded Brewer Artisan Ales, 18039 R Plaza, Suite 108, released a sour recently called Granny’s Salad. It consists of 6.3% Berliner Weisse with pineapple, coconut cream, toasted marshmallow, black cherry, sour cherry, and pecan.
- Featured drinks this month at Round Table Tea Bar, 16 N. Walnut St., Glenwood, Iowa, include Key Lime Pie Lotus Energy, Bomb Pop, S’mores, Poolside Spritzer, and Julius Caesar. All of them include flavored bursting boba.
- Thirst quenching drinks on the July Features menu at Dundee Double Shot, 118 N. 50th St., include Hibiscus Cooler Ice Tea, Tropical Island Latte, Birthday Cake Latte, Cake Batter Chiller, Elderflower Red Bull Bellini and Bomb-Pop Spritzer. The flavored coffee is Jamaican Me Crazy.
- Zen Coffee Co. has lemonade flights with refreshing flavors like Strawberry Hibiscus, Pineapple Palmer, Bomb Pop, Dark Coco Lemonade, and Raspberry Lemonade. Locations include 2504 Farnam St., 2505 S. 133rd Plaza, and 10309 Pacific St. (drive-thru only).
- Ditmars Orchard & Vineyard, 19475 225th St., Council Bluffs, Iowa, offers wine slushies and wine slushy flights. Flights are $12.
- Anna's Place, 1804 Dodge St., has boozy ice cream floats on its summer menu, according to Gastronom. Drinks include: Rosemary Olive Oil Gin Ice cream with orange gin soda; Chocolate Mint Chip with bourbon & branca menta ice cream with whiskey chocolate soda; Lemon Berry Slush Float with yellow chartreuse, Cachaça, strawberry and lemon; and Banana Split Float with chocolate cognac ice cream, Planteray rum and banana soda.
- Chill out with a carafe of sangria at Cellar 426 Winery & Cider Haus, 1402 Dennis Dean Road, Ashland, Neb. Carafes are 20% off on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in July.
