How'd the week go for you? Were you able to cross anything off that you'd been putting aside for a while? I didn't get 100% of the file making done that I wanted to, but forward progress is still progress! 

 

The biggest project I crossed off was something that I've been telling other people to design for at least two years (because I really think it would sell! See the pic below) but not feeling like I had the artistic capabilities made me hesitate from doing it myself. 

 

But I decided to just go for it, and you know what? I couldn't do it by myself! I had help and feedback from several others who kindly pointed out when faces looked funny and ears were off balance…I guess I just want to say that if there's an idea you're wanting to try but don't feel like you're ready/competent/skilled enough, maybe just get it started and then bring others in along the way. We're not meant to life or business alone!

So much of my week was spent creating line drawings of faces, and I was reminded of one of the best “hacks” for learning to create a new design: Googling “How to draw ___.” So simple, but why do I forget to do this sometimes!?

 

Next time you feel stumped on a design, trying turning to a drawing tutorial on youtube or searching for step-by-step graphics that show you how. Once you see it broken down in simple steps or shapes, it'll be way easier to create on your own!
