This edition of the newsletter requires no passport – just a quick run to the store! We're featuring a refreshing lineup of easy-to-make summer cocktails inspired by sun-soaked destinations around the world.

Pisco Sour

Transport yourself to the Andes with Peru’s national drink, the Pisco Sour. This refreshing cocktail combines the unique flavors of Pisco with the tang of fresh lime.
 
Ingredients:
  • 2 oz Pisco
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • 3/4 oz simple syrup
  • 1 egg white
  • Angostura bitters
  • Ice
Instructions:
  1. Combine Pisco, lime juice, simple syrup, and egg white in a shaker.
  2. Shake vigorously without ice to froth the egg white.
  3. Add ice and shake again until chilled.
  4. Strain into a glass and add a few drops of Angostura bitters on top.
  5. Enjoy with a view of Peru in your mind.

 
Mojito

Feel the rhythm of Havana with every sip of this classic Cuban cocktail. The Mojito’s blend of mint, lime, and rum is perfect for any occasion.
 
Ingredients:
  • 2 oz white rum
  • 1/2 oz lime juice
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 6-8 fresh mint leaves
  • Soda water
  • Ice
Instructions:
  1. Muddle the mint leaves and sugar in a glass.
  2. Add lime juice and rum, then fill the glass with ice.
  3. Top with soda water and stir gently.
  4. Garnish with a sprig of mint and a lime wedge.
  5. Sip slowly and imagine the vibrant streets of Havana.

 
Aperol Spritz

Embrace the dolce vita with an Aperol Spritz, the quintessential Italian aperitivo.
 
Ingredients:
  • 3 oz Prosecco
  • 2 oz Aperol
  • 1 oz soda water
  • Ice
  • Orange slice for garnish
Instructions:
  1. Fill a wine glass with ice.
  2. Pour in the Prosecco, followed by the Aperol.
  3. Add a splash of soda water and stir gently.
  4. Garnish with an orange slice.
  5. Enjoy while dreaming of a sunny piazza in Italy.

 
Mai Tai

Experience the tropical paradise of French Polynesia with a Mai Tai.
 
Ingredients:
  • 1 oz white rum
  • 1 oz dark rum
  • 1/2 oz orange curaçao
  • 1/2 oz orgeat syrup
  • 1/2 oz fresh lime juice
  • Ice
  • Mint sprig and lime wheel for garnish
Instructions:
  1. Combine white rum, orange curaçao, orgeat syrup, and lime juice in a shaker with ice.
  2. Shake well and strain into a glass filled with ice.
  3. Float the dark rum on top.
  4. Garnish with a mint sprig and lime wheel.
  5. Close your eyes and imagine the waves lapping the shores of Bora Bora.

 
Hibiscus Lemonade

For those who prefer a non-alcoholic option, enjoy the refreshing taste of Hibiscus Lemonade, inspired by the traditional Mexican drink Agua de Jamaica.
 
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup dried hibiscus flowers
  • 4 cups water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
  • Ice
  • Lime slices and mint leaves for garnish
Instructions:
  1. Bring the water to a boil and add the dried hibiscus flowers.
  2. Remove from heat and let steep for 10-15 minutes.
  3. Strain the liquid into a pitcher and discard the flowers.
  4. Stir in the sugar until dissolved and add the lime juice.
  5. Chill in the refrigerator.
  6. Serve over ice and garnish with lime slices and mint leaves, picturing the colorful streets of Playa del Carmen.
