Hi everyone,
Hope everyone is enjoying their summer. Looks like we are about to hit triple digits soon.
We would like to thank everyone that came out for a picture with Santa and donated socks. Your support is greatly appreciated.
We have been seeing a lot of galls on trees. This is from a wasp stinging the tree usually in spring. While there is nothing we can do after the galls show up, we can take precaution in the spring and fall by applying Tree and Shrub Drench.
We have also seen several pictures of blossom end rot on tomatoes and peppers. That is where there is a black spot on the blossom end (bottom) of the tomato. It can also effect peppers, eggplants, squash, and zucchini plants. Blossom end rot is caused by the lack of calcium to the plants. You can use ferti-lome yield booster to help prevent and stop blossom end rot in your plants.
Don't forget to keep fertilizing your blooming flowers. We have restocked the shelf with all purpose plant food and blooming & rooting fertilizer.
We have also seen a lot of fungal problems in lawns with our cooler and humid weather this past week. We suggest you bring in pictures or even messaging us pictures, but the best thing to do is to cut back on watering and apply f-stop to those areas.
