School’s almost back in session! Let’s talk about rural entrepreneurship and business education. I am
Tanya Perea Doose, Director of Programs
Our rural communities are a melting pot of smart, creative, and wonderful people from all races, ethnicities, and cultures. This creates a unique need that is not a one size fits all approach. We value trust and an understanding of the rural, simple, way of life. Our rural communities oftentimes are underrepresented, face problems with resources, infrastructure, and economic growth which leads to challenges in entrepreneurship for start-ups. There are many obstacles with lack of communication, education, opportunities, housing, and affordable access to capital. At FSWCF, we know the challenges and see you as more than just a credit score by working to remove barriers to get you access to the funding you need.

Education leads to growth!
We believe that by providing our rural communities with business education, technical assistance, grant seed funding, and low interest access to capital, we help ensure small businesses will thrive.

We encourage you to get to know our two flagship programs: Rural Women-Led Business Fund (RWLF) and Fortaleza (Strength) Fund

Our RWLF provides educational workshops for women entrepreneurs with access of up to $2,400 in grants upon completion.
We are excited to partner with GeekPack and our rural SBDC’s for this programming. Check out our website for information and registration for upcoming workshops.

Our Fortaleza Fund provides educational workshops in Spanish for Latino, Hispanic, and immigrant entrepreneurs with access up to $2,400 in grants upon completion.

RWLF and Fortaleza Fund programs also offer access to low interest loans.

We also offer a suite of bilingual “Lunchbox Workshops” on various business topics. Grab your lunch and join us!

Did we mention all of our education is all FREE?

Be sure to check out our website, sign up for our upcoming educational programs, or reach out to get valuable loan information from our lending team. We are
here for you and look forward to helping you along your business journey.

"With the loan from FSWCF we were able to hire an employee, renovate our workspace and invest in a marketing campaign. We can't thank FSWCF enough for the opportunity to grow our business."
