I hope this message finds you well. As we approach the end of July, I wanted to share some personal updates and news about our upcoming events.

 

Today is my birthday! As I turn the page to Chapter 42, I reflect on the challenges and growth of Chapter 41. This past year has been one of the most challenging, particularly concerning my health, following the complications from my last pregnancy. I’ve been diagnosed with diastasis recti—a condition that causes a separation of abdominal muscles, leading to a visible gap and significant back and hip pain. I am also experiencing pain with a twisted pelvis. These conditions required extensive recovery efforts with my dedicated healthcare team, including a physical therapist, primary care physician, chiropractor, and therapist. The physical toll of having a large baby at 40, especially while managing gestational diabetes, has been immense for me.

 

Those of you who attended our June events are aware that I began taking a break at the start of July to prioritize health.

While I love helping others, this season demands that I focus on my personal health first. For those fortunate enough to have never experienced postpartum depression or any form of depression, know that it's a severe ongoing struggle. The path to recovery is filled with unexpected challenges, including spiritual and emotional attacks at vulnerable moments. However, these challenges are shaping a testimony that I can’t wait to share at the Lady Boss Round Table Summit. Oooh, it’s going to be SO good because this story, my story, is going to HEAL others, but only once I HEAL myself.

 

With my recovery in mind, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the Lady Boss Round Table Summit to May 17, 2025. This was not an easy decision, but it is necessary to ensure we can offer the exceptional experience you've come to expect.

 

Please mark your calendars for our upcoming events in September and October. I look forward to reconnecting then, refreshed and revitalized.
