The Colorado Agrivoltaic Learning Center is kicking off a program to link immigrant and Latinx community members with agricultural backgrounds to lands within existing solar arrays on Colorado's Front Range. We are actively looking for qualifying participants who want to start a new agribusiness to reach out to us so we can explain the support we can provide. We are also actively looking for solar asset owners on the Front Range who want to expand their knowledge of agrivoltaics and work with participants we identify. Current Scope: Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Denver, Jefferson, Larimer, Morgan, and Weld Counties. Do you work with Latinx or immigrant communities in these counties? Are you a solar company with projects in these counties? |

On July 27th, we hosted a fun and inspiring event at Jack's Solar Garden! Harvesting Home: Empowering Boulder County's Food and Energy Future showcased community food and energy organizations around Boulder County, and helped show members of the public ways that they could get involved. We had a Brazilian drum group (Bateria Alegria from Boulder Samba School) marching through to solar array, which was probably a first! Such a great day. |
|
Finally, some of our team represented us at the Solar Farm Summit in Chicago in early July! |
