Kristie's Story
 
“My family has been here in the area for over 100 years. My mom graduated from Winnsboro HS and my dad graduated from Pittsburg HS. Both sets of my grandparents owned farms in Pineview and my uncle owned several different farm-related businesses there too. I remember spending many happy summers and holidays here in the area and shopping locally during those stays. We shopped at Bealls pharmacy, Piggly Wiggly, and the other local businesses here. My sister and I spent our summers in the hay fields and on the dairy farm. We got to learn about how farms operate, how to drive tractors, bale hay, milk cows, pick peaches, and many other life lessons you learn from your grandparents. I grew up and had a successful career. I learned about an opportunity to open a Farmers Insurance here in Winnsboro and that fit perfectly with my retirement date from Longview Police Department. 

Why Insurance?

"My tenure as an officer at Longview PD taught me how important it is to have community support and to support the community. As the spokesperson the last 10 years I was there also taught me how important it is to communicate and get your message out to the citizens. I felt like becoming an insurance agent would carry those same beliefs on and I could continue to help my community in a different profession. I am also a real estate agent which carries that belief even farther as I can help people find their new home here in our area."

Why Winnsboro?

"My family decided to move back to Winnsboro and between 2020 and 2022, our family relocated to the area.  My son and grandchildren attend Winnsboro ISD and are involved in lots of activities and sports here in town.  My husband retired from Longview PD as well and now is a School Resource Officer at Mt. Pleasant ISD and my daughter is a local mail carrier.  I am really excited to be back in Winnsboro and support the community.  I shop locally every chance I get and encourage the community to stop by and get to know us here in Winnsboro."
 
 
We will be participating in the local events including the Halloween trick or treat, Christmas parade, and anything else we can do to support the community. 
Where can we find you? 
 
We are on Main Street and don't plan to move from this location so we will be easy to find for our customers for many years to come.
